Stepping Stones to a Brighter Future, Inc. is a 501(c )(3) non-profit organization established in Morgan County in 2008. Our mission is to assist Morgan County survivors of domestic violence and their families as they re-establish their lives without violence.

As families move beyond emergency housing needs, they often encounter other needs that may seem unsurmountable. While there are other community agencies that provide financial assistance in certain situations, there are many instances where these families do not meet strict eligibility criteria, they’ve surpassed the allowed assistance offered, or they have other needs that fall through the cracks. That’s where we step in, and it often is the lifeline that keeps these families from returning to dangerous or untenable living situations.

We are funded by local fund-raisers, community grants, and donations. We are a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. Stepping Stones is run by volunteers, so all of your donations benefit our charitable goals.
